New Skates (Salomon 2004 model) have arrived, but...
Salomon 2004 model skates that I placed an order and put in backordered arrived.
As soon as I took skates out from the box, noticed that wheels looked so large.
I realized wrong skates were delivered. Instead of Salomon Pilot 9 Titalium (80MM 81A), Salomon Pilot 9 Pro equipped wtih 84MM 83A wheels were shipped.
Pro model costs about $50 more but these are not the model I intededed, so planned to retrun & exchange (what a work I need to do...). An idea came to my mind - why don't I try these skates before return, I may like them. If so, I do not have to go through entire return process etc. It was sprinkiling earlier but road became dry, so I rushed myself to go on a street.
Skated about 4 miles or so. In the beginning, they felt so difficult. Because of long frame, small turns, crossing, transposition were difficult. Skating straight was great. And they are so light. The frame (extruded aluminium 275mm) weighs only 210.5 grammes according to Salomon website.
I kind of liking these skates, so I may keep 'em. I would like to try one more time to make final decision.

All Skaters are Friend
Very windy but sunshine is nice and road condition was dry, so no reason not to skate.
Went to Central Park in the afternoon. Saw some friends and chatted a bit. Then skated "Skate Circle" while listening selected dance music by MP3 player.
One of my friends was teaching skating to a new skater, who is a beginer. According to him, she (a new skater) became much better in these 30 minutes and he was so proud of it. We, NYC skaters, are very friendly.

Gray Day
Supposed to be nice today according to weather forcast, but it turned to a gray day. Colder than thses couple of days, disappointed. Instead of long city run, made short distance run twice.
Placed an order of Salomon 2004 model skates, "PILOT 9 Titalium" .
These skates' boots are a bit shorter than ordinary trainer skates. Order status is back order to April 1st. I can't wait !!

Windy Day
Clear, not too cold, but windy.
Changed Mag Elite 3 wheels from Hyper 76mm to Salomon Racer wheels (80mm - 83A) and micro bearings.
Skated Central Park, where wind is less stronger than other areas, little bit. These wheels + micro bearings are very fast but Mag Elite 3 is really physically heavy skates to me. My legs started feeling tired only 3 miles of skating.

Perfect Skating Weather
Mostly clear, warm, calm wind - a perfect skating weather conditon.
Skated in two parts.
1. Early afternoon... skated W-side H'way to "Dog Run". with regular skates on.
2. Late afternoon... skated W-side H'way to 72nd Pier with Mag Elite 3.
It has been probably abount 8 monts since last time I wore Mag Elite.
These skates are equipped with pretty hard fraomes and difficult to manupulate. But they have great stability. I think I like these skates more than before.

Another great SMS (Sunday Morning Skate).
Met buddy skaters at Columbus Circle at 11:00.
Skated toward south via Broadway. Short rest at Washington Sq. Park, then skated down to Battery Park.
After short break, made turn to east and stopped by Pier 17.
Then we skated up to east village and had a great brunch at a restaurant at St. Marks Pl. on 1st Ave.
After food, skated up to Central Park, then spent some time at around the Bandshell area etc.

Skated at the Roxy from 20:00 to 23:40. The Roxy opens @ 20:00, and it was so less crowed, the rink felt pretty large. I have never been at the Roxy so eary. Practiced dance steps that made my leg mustle a bit tired.
Skated back home via West Side High Way. It was 57F ! The midnight skate was so much fun !!
