Group Skate to Queens

Met friends at Columbus Circle @ 11:30 and skated to Queens.

Queensboro Bridge has an independent lane for bikers and skaters, so it is car-safe. It was a bit windy but a city view and river view from the bridge is awsome.

As soon as we arrived Queens, noticed that landscape is totally different from that of Manhattan. There was no tall buildings, so, there was a big sky aobve us. Skated to north-east. Had a brief break near La Guardia airport. Had some food, then skated to east.

Arrived Shea Stadium. Skated and rested in the Flashing Meadows Corona Park, where a big globe can be seen, then went to the final destination, the Bohemian Beer Garden @ Queens.

Having had great food and drink in an outside table, took off to go back to Manhattan around 17:00.

Instead of 59th St. bridge, skated to Roosevelt Island on the way back. From Roosevelt Island, we took Tram and we were instantly in Manhattan. Skated to Central Park and met some more people, skated some, then came home.
